This may be a long review, but I really wanted to detail our great experience with Wind River.

After moving we decided a new hot tub was in order. Left a 20 year old Jacuzzi behind at the old house. First place we went was to a “tent sale”. That was an appropriate name since it was like a circus. Incredibly overpriced hot tubs and a salesman who was a “clown”. High pressure to the max.

So, I began an online search. First thing that bothered me was a lack of online pricing except at the “big box” stores. And almost every unit at those places were out of stock and I REALLY had concerns about some freight truck just dropping a super heavy spa in the driveway and leaving. So, a company that would deliver the spa was important to me. I had heard of Wind River many times since I am a Colorado native. I always thought they would be way out of my price range due to their reputation.

Surprise, surprise! The wife and I “built” a spa on their website and at the end there was the exact pricing. Affordable for our budget and way lower than at the “tent sale circus”. So, we placed the order and put down the refundable deposit. With everyone stuck at home there is a waiting line for spas. And a refundable deposit was obviously a win win situation.

Wanting to see the spas in person we went to the showroom in Englewood a couple of weeks later. Glad we did since we found my wife is short and had trouble stepping into the spa we chose even with the stairs. We talked to the sales rep on the floor and downgraded to a smaller spa. Simple, easy and no argument even though the spa we changed into was much less expensive than the one we originally ordered.

A couple of weeks spent pouring a concrete pad and having the electrical installed and we were ready and waiting for our delivery. I thought I would call to let them know we were ready in case they had any cancellations, and we were in luck. Rick Hallett, the owner, said just that morning he had received an email from a customer wishing to put off their delivery for three weeks. He went to the trouble of changing the production order so our spa could be built and delivered almost a month earlier than originally scheduled. It is definitely a good idea to call Wind River if you are prepared early, they just might be able to move up your delivery date. Had several email conversations with Rick before the delivery and he was always super responsive and answered all my questions.

The delivery itself went incredibly smoothly. The delivery crew consisted of Rick’s son Zach (discovered this truly is a family business) and another young man named Cody. They were friendly, efficient and had the spa placed in no time. We began filling while my electrician, who was onsite for the delivery, hooked up the spa. Then Zach went through a really comprehensive explanation of the control panel and answered any questions we had as the spa went through its startup sequence and Cody assembled the cover lifter. I would highly recommend purchasing the cover lifter…the cover itself is extremely well made with really thick foam and isn’t a light piece of equipment to move around if you’re older like we are.

The spa itself is fabulous as well as beautiful! The jets are super powerful compared to my old Jacuzzi. The seating areas are well designed and comfortable. We have used it every night since it was delivered, and the water is still crystal clear with just following the instructions of adding a teaspoon of the dy-chlor.

To sum it all up you can’t go wrong buying a spa from Wind River. This has probably been the best experience we have ever had in purchasing a fairly large ticket item.

It's been about 4 weeks since we took delivery of our new WindRiver Spas hot tub. The web option to completely customize and choose colors to see exactly what you will get was fantastic; it was also very cool to get a video of our actual hot tub "being born" during the manufacturing process!
The guys who delivered the hot tub were careful and methodical, and really took their time to ensure everything was set up just right while being very respectful of our property. The hard part was having to wait for the water to heat up before we got to use it!
Everything is amazing about this hot tub - the amount of jets, the powerful motors, the abundant lighting and the very cool built-in Bluetooth sound system. The ergonomics of each seat position ensures that every part of our bodies can get a relaxing massage, while thoughtful touches like the champagne bucket and strategically placed cup holders are very well thought out.
I can only describe the experience as "medicinal" - seriously this thing can melt the stress of a busy workday away like nothing else! We keep finding every excuse to take a dip.

The quality of everything is very evident as well - it runs quiet and smooth, and the touch interface is very user friendly while also allowing us to customize all of the light zones, etc.
Based on our experience, from configuring our model online through delivery to the user experience, I HIGHLY recommend Windriver Spas to anyone considering making this purchase - you will not go wrong working with WindRiver Spas and I guarantee you are going to love your new hot tub. What are you waiting for?!

Hi Rick,

I did want to take a moment to commend you on the delivery crew. They were both very professional, helpful and efficient in the delivery of the spa. Bobby took the time to go over the basics of the spa with me, and I would give both of them very high marks. I know how difficult it is to higher dedicated professional people to do the job you need to have completed, as I too find struggle to find competent employees and then keep them. Please pass along my satisfaction to the crew and let them know how much I appreciate all they did in delivering our new spa.

BTW, I am also very pleased with the appearance of the “reconditioned spa”. It looks completely new, and it is difficult to convince anyone looking at it that the unit is not new. Good job Wind River Spas, I can give you very high marks all the way around.

We love our spa. I just want to say that we are impressed again by Wind River Spas. 12 years ago we purchased a spa and we were very impressed with the customer service at that time. Here we are 12 years later... I am even more impressed this time because some companies can get it right once. Only a few can do it right consistently. I have recommended Wind River several times and everyone that purchased a spa was as happy as we are. Thanks for building and delivering the best spa in Colorado.

Dear Rick,
Once again your company and employees have exceeded my expectations. I bought my hot tub in December of 2004. I did extensive research and studied many hot tubs, spas and companies. Your company won my business not only because your sales staff because of the exceptional product you build here in Colorado. When I came into your office on Galapago Street, Justin Nickerson never tired to “sell” me a hot tub. He instead spent a leisurely 2 to 2.5 hours speaking with me about my needs, explaining to me my options, showing me your product line and sharing his personal expertise and insights with me about your products. I felt no pressure or desperation from Justin to sell me a tub. I left feeling like a valued visitor and potential customer. Once I decided to buy my hot tub the choice was easy. I felt confident that I had made the best choice possible. You personally came to my home to check out my potential placement, gave me suggestions and set up delivery of my new purchase.

Since then I have been extremely happy with my purchase. I still use my tub three to four times a week. I find the maintenance and care trouble free. I have sent several friends to you to buy tubs but that is not why I am writing my letter today. I wanted to also tell you how pleased I am with my recent service call. I recently developed a small leek and was loosing water. When I called your office I again spoke to Justin who remembered my purchase and me. He took the time to look up my records, he explained my options, discussed what was covered by my warranty and scheduled my appointment. Justin assured me the problem would be fixed and that Tim would “Take good care of me”. Having spent hours waiting for Comcast and Qwest on service calls, I was expecting the worst. I had visions of expensive repairs, weeks to get my tub back in working order and hours waiting on a service man to show during the “window” of time given to me…my heart was sinking. On the day of my appointment Tim called to say he was on his way, showed up early and went right to work. He was confident and worked efficiently. He identified the problem and had it fixed in less than an hour. He cleaned up his workspace and gave me directions on when to fill my tub. My tub is again full and fully functioning but best of all your company covered the repairs with no hassle or efforts to extract additional dollars out of me, the consumer. I am so pleased that I have found a company with integrity and honesty. I love my tub and am very thankful for the way you run your business.
