The first step in making one of our Colorado spas is to vacuum form the Lucite Microban acrylic sheet into the spa surface. The acrylic sheet begins to take the shape of the spa form after being placed in and removed from the oven. The vacuum system is then activated, which evenly draws the acrylic firmly into the mold. Within 60 seconds, the heated acrylic has been drawn tightly and evenly into the mold and the spa takes its finished form.

As the spa begins the assembly process, the excess acrylic is trimmed exactingly from the edges to form a tight seal with the Highwood™ Skirting.

We use an outstanding shell re-enforcement system that is unique to Wind River Spas and superior to any other.  The Acryment applied to the back of the shell eliminates the uneven expansion and contraction associated with fiberglass backed shells that are known for their blistering and cracking. The acryment is fiber impregnated to give additional structure to the shell and to bond with the high density foam that is about to be applied.

Our equipment pack is installed and tested. The electronic package was selected to offer the most reliable long-term operation, while the LED Digital Display allow for ease of operation. Our pumps, plumbing and equipment are located in the thermal cavity to prevent freezing.and allow for quiet operation to further enhance your relaxation.

The plumbing technicians precision cut each jet location according to UL registered specifications. Wind River uses twin 5.0 horsepower 56 frame pumps to move over 500 gallons per minute.  Unlike other spas that use a timer clean system, Wind River has a continuous clean system.  This means that a separate cleaning pump circulates the water 24 hours a day to capture all debris and body oil in the filter.

Our 5-way thermal lock insulation system guarantees a vapor isolated air cavity design. Bug proof EPS foam panels are added and fit by hand around the entire skirt area.  The final stage of the insulation process is the precise fitting of the skirt into the tray system. This exact fit assures an isolated thermal environment, which never touches the ground, is affected by the weather or invaded by unwanted animals.

We put our heart and soul into our skirting.  The skirting encloses the shell and all of the plumbing and equipment.  We offer five colors of Highwood Siding:

Highwood siding is the beautiful wood alternative for your spa cabinet.  The look and feel of wood on an acrylic surface ensures the same lasting beauty and virtually maintenance free durability inside and out. 
The Highwood surround cabinets resists weather, mildew and rot, as well as stains from food and chemicals, so you can spend your time relaxing in your hot tub, not re-staining the cabinet. Highwood is available in five colors that will compliment any LUCITE color.

Our unique bonded tray design adds support to the vital structural areas, while isolating the entire under area and skirt from contact with the ground. This eliminates cracking due to placement on an uneven surface. An industrial structural foam material is first applied to the tray footwell area. The surrounding footwell area is also foamed to provide increased structural stability and increase thermal insulation
